For ball-point pen stains on clothes, rub shaving cream or
toothpaste on the stain and leave for three hours before washing.
If woollies become matted, add a little borax to the rinsing
water.
To dry nylons in a hurry, wrap them around a hot water bottle.
When hanging pictures, cover the spot with sticky tape before
hammering in the nail to prevent the plaster from cracking.
